About Krav Maga
What is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga (Contact Combat in Hebrew) is more than self defense: Originally Krav Maga used combined elements of Aikido, Judo, Boxing, Karate and Wrestling and was used to train the Israeli Defense Forces after WW2. Today Krav Maga is used by special forces and law enforcements all over the world and includes now also elements of different fighting styles like Tae Kwon Do, Jiu Jitsu, Hapkido and more for defense and counter attacks, not only for military, but also for civil use.

My name is Heiko DeWald, founder and owner of DeWald Krav Maga:
I'm a certified Black Belt Krav Maga Instructor in TAC (Tactical Application Concepts) and also teach Warrior Krav Maga.
I'm assisted by my wife Christa Lynn: 3rd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and also a certified Instructor for TAC Krav Maga.
What do we teach?
We offer a range of programs to suit different needs and skill levels. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner, we have individual programs that will challenge and inspire you and put you on a new level of awareness and fitness.
Our Studio
Our Studio is located in Overland Park, Kansas and allows private classes for one or two students at the same time. We are very well equipped and safety is our priority: We are using state of the art mats (2 layers) and training equipment.
